Solar Panels Factory

Categories
Location Doha, Qatar
Period 2013-2015

Qatar Solar Energy plans to build a factory that can produce 1GWp of Solar Panels per year. This building incorporates such factory, an administration building with employees facilities, and a Solar Car assembly building, in a plot of approximately 750,000 m2.

To equally distribute installations across the lengthy building, a service bridge was created over the factories, connecting the services’ buildings, the production building and the administration building. The bridge is used also to move materials from one production line to the next, for employees easy access to their respective work area, and to house common facilities as small canteens and prayer rooms.

The patterns on the production buildings’ façades relate to cultural heritage and directly link to the existing showroom of the Client. These two patterns merge together in the administration building.
